Cancellation of Time Before festival Logan

Published: 01 May 2015

Sustained heavy rainfall has forced the cancellation of the Time Before festival at the Kingston Butter Factory and Mayes Cottage on Sunday 3 May.

Mayor Pam Parker said the decision to cancel the popular event was not made lightly but is in the best interests of public safety.

"We have received a large amount of rain in the past 48 hours and it is simply too unsafe to proceed with the Time Before festival on Sunday," she said.

"The event will be back bigger and better next year and we apologise to all those who were looking forward to coming along."

While the forecast is for rain to clear late in the weekend, ground conditions will not permit the planned activities to take place and there is no suitable alternative venue.

Notification is also being posted on Council's Facebook and Twitter profiles and at the venue.
