Eats and Beats heads to Beenleigh

Published: 19 Aug 2016

Logan’s popular Eats and Beats pop-up food and music festival will make its way to Beenleigh Town Square on Friday 26 August.

City Image Chairperson, Councillor Laurie Smith, said the town square had developed a reputation as a food destination since opening to the public in late 2015.

“The Early Bird and Breakfast Markets started operating on Sunday mornings in the town square a few months ago and by all reports have attracted a loyal following,” Cr Smith said.

“We’ve also had a few Eats and Beats events in the square now and each one has been a tremendous success.

“Creating an accessible and welcoming community space in the heart of Beenleigh was a key part of Council’s planning for the CBD redevelopment that took place last year so it is wonderful to see people really embracing it.”

Those who get down to Beenleigh Town Square on Friday night will have an assortment of delicious foods to embrace too.

More than 25 food trucks will be on site, with local musicians providing the soundtrack to the night.
