Eats & Beats has established itself as a must-do event for families and food aficionados of all ages and the event is now set to bring its unique street-truck fare to Browns Plains on Friday 26 June.
Village Square at Browns Plains will be the third location for the pop-up event which has attracted more than 25,000 people since launching in March this year.
Governance, Finance and Economic Development Committee Chair, Councillor Luke Smith (Division 6), said the aim of Eats & Beats was to showcase a variety of the fantastic locations throughout the city.
"This event has been very successful in attracting both locals and visitors from across South-East Queensland and moving it around is a great way to highlight what we have to offer in Logan," he said.
"It is also an opportunity to promote local businesses and we are very happy that restaurants and other operators at Village Square will be participating in this month's Eats & Beats.
"There is going to be a real street party atmosphere with live music and food trucks lining the road and surrounding businesses open late with extended trading hours."
There will once again be a number of live music acts performing throughout the evening and many popular food trucks from previous events will return.
Cr Smith said a new Facebook page dedicated to the event had been launched, and due to its success it was the best place to get the latest information on the monthly event.
"People love coming back to Eats & Beats as there is always something new to try," he said.
"Every month we change the number and food truck offerings based on the location and surrounding restaurants which ensures there is always a wide range of options."
A section of Eastern Street in Browns Plains will be closed on Friday 26 June to allow the event to take place from 5pm.
