Eats & Beats to debut at Riverdale Park
Published: 16 Nov 2017
Meadowbrook is the newest location for Eats & Beats, South-East Queensland’s biggest monthly pop-up food truck and music festival.
City Image Committee Chairperson Councillor Laurie Smith said this year’s final Eats & Beats will be held from 5pm to 9pm on 24 November at Riverdale Park on Armstrong Road, Meadowbrook.
“Riverdale Park is hosting Eats & Beats for the first time as part of our plan to take the popular event to different locations in the City of Logan,” Cr Smith said.
“The spacious venue is perfect for a picnic with family and friends, and we’ll have more than 30 food trucks serving a huge variety of delicious food. There’s also a playground to keep the kids entertained.
“More than 5,000 are expected to attend, so we recommend that people get there early to beat the crowds and bring a picnic rug just in case there is a high demand for seating on the night.
“As with all Eats & Beats events, a traffic plan will be in place. People who live locally are encouraged to travel to Riverdale Park on foot or get a lift.”
Juice Power, King of the Wings, Spud the Food Truck and Vida Vegetarian are just some of the food trucks that will serve crowd favourites. Gluten-free, vegetarian and vegan options will also be available.
Ross Burbury, Jezelle, Jordan Leigh Duo, and Jesse Morris Band will provide live music throughout the evening.
