Logan dogs to pound the pavement for Million Paws Walk

Published: 03 May 2013

Now in its 20th year, the RSPCA Million Paws Walk is creating a first in Logan this month.

Arguably the biggest doggy day out in Queensland, Logan City will host its first RSPCA Million Paws Walk at Logan Gardens on Sunday 19 May.

Animals and City Standards Committee Chair, Councillor Graham Able (Division 5) said the event was a fun-filled day out for dog owners and their four-legged friends, while raising money for a great cause.

“I am very excited that we will be hosting the walk for the first time in Logan and hope it becomes an annual event,” he said.

“Just by walking, people are not only helping to raise much-needed funds but are also increasing awareness of dogs in need.

“There will be various activities following the walk, with competitions, loads of prizes, a variety of demonstrations and much more.”

How to get involved:

1. Register for your local walk
2. Pay your registration fee
3. Create your online fundraising page
4. Ask family and friends to sponsor you
5. Come along and enjoy the day!

The Million Paws event is on Sunday 19 May 2013 at Logan Gardens, Civic Parade, Logan Central from 8 am to 1 pm. The walk will start at 10 am.
