Xtreme Trampoline Centre sprung to life in Meadowbrook with Councillor Luke Smith (Division 6) attending the official opening.

Jumping is becoming big business with a new indoor trampoline centre now offering a unique and action-packed experience in Meadowbrook, just in time for school holidays.

Governance, Finance and Economic Development Committee Chair, Councillor Luke Smith (Division 6), officially opened the Xtreme Indoor Trampoline Centre on Saturday 13 December.

The centre offers more than 80 trampolines across 1,000 square metres allowing jumpers to reach new heights, with the business being assisted by the Logan Office of Economic Development ahead of opening in the city.

Cr Smith said trampoline centres were proving incredibly popular in major cities throughout Australia and this new business provided another unique experience that residents of South-East Queensland could enjoy right here in Logan.

"Logan is increasingly attractive to experience-based businesses due to its central location and access to a large population base," he said.

"The Logan Office of Economic Development worked with the business, which was attracted to Meadowbrook due to its close proximity to major transport routes and Griffith University.

"It is fantastic to see businesses are confident in Logan and are choosing to invest in the city, which creates jobs and drives economic growth."

Xtreme Indoor Trampoline Centre is managed by Logan resident Cory Taylor and more than 20 local jobs have been created with centre open every day of the week and catering to people aged three years and older.

Mr Taylor said the centre provided a fun way to stay fit and active and would attract people ranging from professional athletes looking to hone their aerial skills through to parents wanting to enjoy a fun experience with their children.

"Each session runs for one hour and I guarantee you will leave with a smile on your face and get a great workout at the same time," he said.

"We take safety very seriously and all our sessions are supervised by trained Xtreme Trampoline professionals with a limited numbers of participants, so we encourage everybody to book ahead and come along and give trampolining a go."
