Logan businesses and community groups are invited to be part of the 2017 Logan Loves Seniors Day.

The day, featuring a free expo, will be held from 9am to 1pm on 15 August at the Logan Entertainment Centre, 170 Wembley Rd, Logan Central.

City Image Committee Chairperson Councillor Laurie Smith said the day provided a unique opportunity for businesses and community groups to showcase products and services to seniors.

“Attracting around 2000 attendees annually, the event offers a once-a-year chance to connect with Logan seniors,” Cr Smith said.

“Expressions of interest are open now to exhibitors wanting to take part in the day and must be made by 17 July on the online form which can be accessed at www.logan.qld.gov.au/seniorsday

Cr Smith said the theme of the 2017 day was “Inspire, not retire” and it would be filled with activities, workshops and information stalls.

“This is a great way for seniors to obtain information about services and initiatives which affect them.”

Cr Smith said as part of the day the Logan Entertainment Centre would host two Bringing back the Sixties shows.

“Featuring The Beehives the shows will be held at 9.30am and 1pm.”

Tickets are $5 and available for purchase online at http://www.loganentertainmentcentre.com.au/
