Snow-business like showbusiness at 2014 Carols

Published: 20 Nov 2014

A snap freeze is predicted to descend on Logan Gardens on Saturday, 13 December when the 2014 City of Logan Mayor's Carols welcomes the coolest acts in town.

Making their first appearance at the Mayor's Carols will be Elsa and Olaf from Frozen, alongside pop sensation Nathaniel, who's single 'Live Louder' is riding high in the charts.

This year's carols will also welcome crowd favourites David DeVito, and Australia's Got Talent finalist Liam Burrows for his first performance.

Mayor Pam Parker said community performers would feature at the event, opening the show with traditional carols.

"Santa and his acrobatic Elves will also be on hand to spread joy and goodwill to all," she said.

"Carols will be held at a new venue this year, and for the first time, twilight markets will offer last-minute gift buying opportunities as well as a place to grab a bite to eat or a cool drink.

"So bring a rug and get in early to save your place at this family friendly and strictly drug and alcohol-free event."

Mayor Parker said the new venue would make it simple for people to get to the event, with nearby options and a park'n'ride facility in operation.

"A park'n'ride facility will operate from Logan Central Plaza to the venue at Logan Gardens, while limited parking will also be available at Logan Brothers," she said.

"Normal public transport operations will also be available."

Festivities will kick off from 3pm, with the first act on stage at 4pm.
