Logan's premier events venue is the Logan Entertainment Centre. At any given time you'll have access to a diverse range of shows, from Merry Melodies for seniors to fun productions for the kids. The centre also books high profile touring acts, including musical theatre, plays, illusionists, world-class musicians and comedy acts.Make a meal of things by booking in for a bite to eat or catching up for a coffee at the Limelight Bistro & Bar before selected shows.
Beenleigh is the place to go for live theatre. There's the Beenleigh Theatre Group, presenting popular plays, pantomimes and musicals at the lovely Crete Street Theatre. Over at the Beenleigh Showgrounds, the award-winning Phoenix Ensemble is renowned for delivering dynamic and talent-filled productions in the intimate and atmospheric Pavilion Theatre.
If live music is your thing, you'll find acts performing across the city in a range of venues, from sports and service clubs to contemporary hotels and country pubs. Greenbank RSL hosts free live entertainment five days a week, while Logan Diggers offers the best of touring music and comedy acts.
When it comes to films, nothing beats the big screen experience. Why not grab a coffee or a bite to eat and then catch a flick at our cineplexes at Logan Hyperdome (Shailer Park) or Grand Plaza (Browns Plains). There are twelve cinemas at the Hyperdome (including Star Lounge) and eight at Browns Plains – and both centres have a range of handy dining options.
If you're looking for a great read, we have nine libraries across our city. These state-of-the-art centres not only provide endless reading choices, but also a wide range of activities (including author talks and workshops) and internet access – all for free!
There's plenty for the young – and young-at-heart – in the City of Logan.
At the Logan Hyperdome, you can catch a movie at the Hyperplex Cinemas, knock down pins at AMF Bowling, test gaming skills at Kapow Entertainment, or play commando at M9 Laser Skirmish (all the fun of skirmish with the pain of paintballs!).
There's also the City of Logan Ten Pin Bowling Centre at Woodridge, and more gaming fun over at Timezone in Grand Plaza at Browns Plains.
For the younger ones, we have three vibrant family fun centres: Lollipop Playland and Café and Springwood, Geckos Family Fun Centre at Browns Plains, and Wriggle It Children's Indoor Play Centre and Café.
There's always something entertaining at the at the Beenleigh Events Centre, entertaining locals and visitors for more than three decades. The company presents regular seasons of plays, musicals, pantomimes and festivals showcasing one-act plays. Shows are staged in the lovely Crete Street Theatre (part of the Beenleigh Events Centre), right in the heart of Beenleigh.
