Logan City Council's popular Eats and Beats pop-up food and music festival will make its way to Beenleigh Town Square on Friday 6 November to celebrate the precinct's official opening.
Governance, Finance and Economic Development Committee Chairperson, Councillor Luke Smith, said Council was bringing Eats and Beats to the Beenleigh Town Square to thank the community for its support for the project during 12 months of construction.
"We know the construction of the Beenleigh Town Square was an ambitious project given what we needed to do in the heart of the CBD," he said.
"It's now finished and we want everyone to come down, have a fun time and explore the precinct while enjoying great food and good music.
"Some of the most popular food trucks operating in South-East Queensland will roll up to serve food between 5pm and 9pm.
"We also have a program of live music so people can grab a bite to eat and then stay on to hear talented local musicians."
Cr Smith said Eats and Beats had proven popular since its inception in March, with thousands turning up to the pop-up events held around the City of Logan.
"We have already held seven successful events so far this year, and our Eats and Beats Christmas Festival will start on Friday 20 November" he said.
The Beenleigh Eats and Beats will be held on Friday 6 November from 5pm to 9pm at Beenleigh Town Square, located at the intersection of George St, City Rd and Main St.
