The festive season in Logan City will be extra jolly this year with Australian singer, dancer and choreographer Timomatic parachuting in as the headline act for the 2013 Logan City Mayor's Christmas Carols.
The entertainer, who is currently on the judging panel of Channel 9's Australia's Got Talent, has had a number one hit this year with his single "Parachute" and has supported international acts Pitbull, Flo Rida, Salt-N-Pepa, Nicki Minaj and Janet Jackson on their recent Australian tours.
Logan Mayor, Councillor Pam Parker, said she was delighted a high-profile act like Timomatic would be coming to the city for the annual carols event.
"Timomatic visited Logan City last week to surprise students at Kimberley Park State School and we can't wait for his return in December," she said.
"He is one of Australia's leading entertainers, blitzing the charts with his singing, dancing and acting over the past few years, and it's such a coup for us that he is coming back to Logan City to entertain us at the carols.
"I have no doubts he will be a popular drawcard for young and old alike."
The 2013 Logan City Mayor's Christmas Carols will be held on Saturday 14 December at Logan Metro Indoor Sports Centre.
"Timomatic will be the biggest name yet to take to the stage at Logan Metro, so I encourage everyone to mark the date on their calendars to make sure they don't miss this special event," Cr Parker said.
"We'll be announcing other acts over the coming weeks and I guarantee it will be a great night out for the whole family, celebrating the year that has been and getting ready for an exciting and prosperous 2014."
