It’s easy to get out and be active in the City of Logan. We have some great Mountain Bike Trails to explore our wonderful natural settings, they will both challenge and delight Mountain Bike enthusiasts. Daisy Hill has long been a favourite of both locals and visitors and only minutes from the M1 Pacific Coast Way. There are cafes and eateries close by, even local bike shops. We also have aquatic centres across our city, more than 900 parks, extensive shared walking and cycling trails, outdoor fitness equipment, half-basketball courts, skate parks and BMX tracks.
A popular place to cool down on hot days, the Beenleigh Aquatic Centre has a 33.3 metre outdoor pool, as well as a special pool where toddlers can play and splash about safely. The Bethania Aquatic Centre is perfect for the whole family, with a 25 metre outdoor pool and a leisure pool with beach entry. Buy a snack from the kiosk and relax in the shade in between swims. Test out your freestyle, breaststroke, backstroke and butterfly, swimming laps in the 25 metre pool.
One of Logan’s most popular neighbourhood pools in summer, the Eagleby Aquatic Centre features an outdoor 25 metre pool, leisure pool with beach entry, 25 metre training pool, and kiosk. Please note this centre is closed during the winter months but Logan North Aquatic Centre's heated 50 metre pool is open all year round.
Swim, play and relax at the indoor Gould Adams Park Aquatic Centre all year round. Enjoy three heated pools, including a 25 metre pool, kiddies adventure pool and learn-to-swim pool. A great outing for the whole family, year-round, with extensive outdoor parklands next door, walking trails and close to public transport.
This state of the art facility is Logan's sporting hub. Catch some of the local and national games from a variety of sporting codes. Open all year-round, the Logan North Aquatic and Fitness Centre features Logan’s only 50 metre Olympic pool. There’s also a 25 metre learn-to-swim pool, plus a 23 metre indoor heated pool. Out of the water, you can lift your heart rate in the fitness centre and health club. When you’re ready to relax, fire up an on-site barbecue or chill out beside the family leisure pool.
Interested in roller derby? That’s just one of the sports you can watch at Mount Warren Sports Centre. The centre hosts sports and tournaments at international, national and state level including basketball, futsal, netball, skating and skipping – and, of course, the increasingly popular spectacle of roller derby. It also has a gym, group fitness classes and personal trainers.
Supa Golf is a game the whole family can enjoy! Situated at Sirromet Winery at Mt Cotton, Supa Golf is a modified form of golf using over-sized golf clubs and over-sized coloured balls. Enjoy a game on the 9-hole golf course with wallabies as your main spectators in the picturesque surrounds.
