Outdoors

The City of Logan has some of the most accessible bushland reserves in South East Queensland, most with walking and cycle trails, boardwalks, barbecue facilities and shelters. Explore pristine natural areas and keep an eye out for koalas, wallabies and possums, and a host of native bird species. In our eucalypt forests you’ll discover gorges, cliffs and unique rock formations – right in the heart of suburbia.

Our city has more than 900 parks across 67 suburbs. Perfect for time out with family and friends, our parks offer outdoor exercise equipment, state-of-the art playgrounds and fun features including disk golf, a parkour course and flying foxes. You can fish from pontoons by the river, or relax under 200-year-old eucalypts.

Underwood Park

When you visit Underwood Park, it’s easy to forget you’re still in the city. Stroll along the boardwalk by the lagoon, picnic under the trees or gazebos, or simply kick back and relax. There’s plenty to keep the kids busy, including the renowned FUNderwood Hollow playground, designed for children aged five to 16 years. It features a ‘Peter Pan’ feel, with castle-themed towers high above the ground. The park has skate and BMX facilities, nearby mountain bike trails, a huge dog off-leash area, and an on-site coffee van.
